Across the Nightingale Floor is a book like no other I have read before. It has suspense and a thrilling story line that will not let you put it down. It is a great story of revenge, murder, death and love. It is a powerfully emotional story with such sorrow and happiness that makes you wish it would never end. It starts with a teenage boy, named Tomasu (renamed Takeo) being saved from almost certain death by Lord Otori Shiggru. He takes him away from danger, but does he know something about Takeo that Takeo himself doesn’t? The characters that are so interesting that you wish to be inside the book itself, to be part of everything going on and to meet the people who are so brave and clever that they just can’t be real. Everything about it is amazing and you want to learn more about the history of the clans and about the strange and powerful Tribe. You find new bizarre things on every page and something that will outrage you in every chapter. A great book for teens and adults. You must read this book if you are looking for something new.
